چکیده

Triaxial tests were employed to investigate palm-fiber-reinforced sand under consolidated drained conditions in this study. Sixteen series of triaxial carried out the properties sand. One pure was also for comparison. The deviator stress, stress path, shear strength, volume change, void ratio, and enhanced coefficient fiber-reinforced studied with different fiber lengths varying from 8 mm 20 contents mass 0.3% 0.9%. test results indicate that palm fibers beneficial enhancing strength Compared peak increase about 10% 20%, critical increased much more, by a little over 100%. Therefore, played key role but not addition resulted prolongation axial strain required reach ratio improved sand’s ability resist larger deformations, its toughness. Furthermore, positively correlated both content length, increasing length. This study provides valuable experimental data serves as reference temporary reinforcement geotechnical engineering.

Assessment of the Mechanical Properties of Sisal Fiber-Reinforced Silty Clay Using Triaxial Shear Tests

Fiber reinforcement is widely used in construction engineering to improve the mechanical properties of soil because it increases the soil's strength and improves the soil's mechanical properties. However, the mechanical properties of fiber-reinforced soils remain controversial. The present study investigated the mechanical properties of silty clay reinforced with discrete, randomly distributed ...

Palm kernel fruit fiber reinforced gypsum-cement based wall panels: It’s physical and mechanical characteristics

Agricultural waste fibers have been found to be suitable as reinforcement in cement-based composites, but studies on oil palm fiber as reinforcement in gypsum-cement wall panels are scarce. A mixture of two equal weights of gypsum and cement, with water-binder ratios of 0.45 and 0.55 were prepared. In each mix a varying percentage of fiber contents of 2%, 3% and 4% by weight of the binders were...

strength evaluation of wet reinforced silty sand by triaxial test

conventional investigations on the behavior of reinforced and unreinforced soils are often investigated at the failure point. in this paper, a new concept of comparison of the behavior of reinforced and unreinforced soil by estimating the strength and strength ratio (deviatoric stress of reinforced sample to unreinforced sample) at various strain levels is proposed. a comprehensive set of labor...
